Can you tell us a bit about you and how Heather Taylor Home came to be?
I have always loved entertaining and setting a beautiful table but couldn't find table linens that fit my aesthetic. At the time I was taking a weaving class, which prompted me to design my first table runner. I decided to design my own collection and my line was born soon after.
What is inspiring you and your collections at the moment?
Rich and saturated colors and patterns that can drastically change the feeling of a room. I'm very inspired by tonal tables.
What's the most important thing to get right when hosting an intimate dinner?
Anticipate your guests needs and include as many thoughtful touches as possible. A great playlist and cozy, warm lighting are also key.
How and why might Falcon Enamelware be incorporated?
I recently loved using the red pitchers and tumblers as vessels for the most perfect red and pink peonies down the center of my table. This was the backdrop of our guava gingham gingham and the entire table glowed. I also love using the red pitchers on my self-serve bar - such a pretty pop of color!
Is there a specific dish that you might personally make using any of our Falcon products?
This summer I can't wait to make a panzanella salad and serve in the red rimmed serving bowl.
What do you love most about LA in the Summer?
Long beach days in Malibu, followed by dinner with friends in my backyard. I set the table in the morning so everything is ready to go after a day of swimming in the ocean.
Are there any local companies you'd like to shoutabout?
Where do you usually eat, drink, and source ingredients in your local area? I love Helen's for wine and the Hollywood Farmers Market on Sunday mornings for the best ingredients.
