BACK TO SCHOOL WITH FALCON

We’ve compiled a list of simple activities for keeping the kids entertained until dinner-time this term. Inspired by the images below from photographer @poppie_prints.

Cook
Get the kids in the kitchen and make a tasty and fun recipe that will keep both their hands and brains busy. Give scones or gingerbread biscuits a go as both are great for manual dexterity. Here’s a delicious recipe for Rosemary scones where you can simply exclude the rosemary.

Flower picking and foraging
Head out into the garden or to any green space and pick some wildflowers or try to find the last of the blackberries. Have the kids plan the route if you’re heading out, take a guide book or map to help keep everyone distracted. Have a read of our quick guide to foraging available here.

Paint
Get the paint brushes out and enjoy creating new colours, use your enamelware for paint brush holders and palettes. Get inspired by our interview with Scribble & Daub’s founder here.

Have a picnic
Take in the great outdoors even in the cooler months. Pack a flask of something warm to enjoy together along with some blankets to get cosy.
